Knob Billed Duck or African Comb Duck is a water wader. Its scientific name is Sarkidiornis melanotos. The males have a big knob like a lump on their bill. It can be found in the village ponds and paddy fields. Here the female is in a pond with its brood. This picture was taken in a pool in Sanauli village
