Eurasian Wryneck

Eurasian Wrynecks come to visit this area in winters. This strange looking bird is from woodpecker family. The word Wryneck in the name comes from the fact that it can rotate its neck 360 degrees. It is master of camouflage.

My name is Ranjit Singh. I was born in 1953. I did my M.Sc. in Chemistry from Panjab University in 1975. I joined India's Premier E&P Industry called ONGC in 1978. I rose to the rank of DGM at the time of retirement in 2013 after working for 35 years. During my stint I worked in analytical chemistry labs, Oil Rigs drilling and Production.
