Brown Headed Barbet

This beautiful bird is feeding on berries of a tree in the Peermuchhalla Village Forest. These are mostly tree fruit foragers. They make their nests in the hollow cavities of the trees. The tree seen in this picture is Jhingan tree (Odina Wodier) which are common in Panchkula and adjoining Morni Hills.
