Pied Cuckoo or Jacobin Cuckoo 
It is a migratory bird coming in summers to Indian subcontinent from Africa. It do the breeding here. By winter it again migrates away. It is called harbinger of rains or Barsati Papiha here in India. Photo taken near Panchkula

My name is Ranjit Singh. I was born in 1953. I did my M.Sc. in Chemistry from Panjab University in 1975. I joined India's Premier E&P Industry called ONGC in 1978. I rose to the rank of DGM at the time of retirement in 2013 after working for 35 years. During my stint I worked in analytical chemistry labs, Oil Rigs drilling and Production.
