White Breasted Water Hen

It is a waterbird that is found around the ponds hiding mainly in the vegetation along the banks. It belongs to the crake and rail family Rallidae. Its scientific name is Amaurornis Phoenicurus. It has a white face. It is a very shy bird. It can fly small distances but mostly keeps to the ground. Sometimes they venture away from the edges of ponds only to return back immediately.
