Yellow Footed Green Pigeon

This beautiful bird belongs to pigeon family. In contrast to the rock pigeons, they roost mostly in the trees. They usually eat fruits and berries.This picture was taken near Herbal Park of Panchkula.

My name is Ranjit Singh. I was born in 1953. I did my M.Sc. in Chemistry from Panjab University in 1975. I joined India's Premier E&P Industry called ONGC in 1978. I rose to the rank of DGM at the time of retirement in 2013 after working for 35 years. During my stint I worked in analytical chemistry labs, Oil Rigs drilling and Production.
